Kada lekar odabere pacijenta koji je na redu, dobija formu za popunjavanje i postavlja pitanja pacijentu: kada su krenuli prvi simtomi, koji su to prvi simptomi, upisuje mu temperaturu, pritisak, stanje grla i da li su pluća čista nakon slušanja. Može ali i ne mora da mu prepiše terapiju, ali ga upućuje na testiranje u laboratoriju, i na proveru krvne slike, i može ali ne mora da ga uputi na rendgen.
