Describe the bug
This issue is similar to #459 but occurs with the Arduboy (Ardous) core and other custom systems like Game Boy Advance Video. When setting Arduboy as the default emulator and launching any game with achievements, RetroAchievements shows as disabled. After attempting to enable them through the Quick Menu, RetroArch crashes when returning to the Quick Menu.

Additionally, creating a custom system for Game Boy Advance Video by editing es_systems.cfg causes the same issue where achievements are disabled and RetroArch crashes when trying to enable them.

How to reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Ensure RetroAchievements is enabled by default in X55.
  • Set Arduboy (Ardous) as the default emulator.
  • Open any Arduboy game that should have achievements.
  • Achievements show as disabled despite being enabled.
  • Open Quick Menu > Settings > Achievements > Turn On > Go back to Quick Menu > Achievements.
  • RetroArch crashes when returning to the Quick Menu.

As an additional note:

  • Create a custom system for Game Boy Advance Video (gbav) by editing es_systems.cfg.
  • The same issue occurs for this system: achievements are disabled and RetroArch crashes when enabling them.
