Wheel not working in Outrun Online Arcade

Outrun Online Arcade does not respond to steering wheel inputs via USB passthrough.

Details

Have a virtual Logitech G27 with the winUSB drivers installed. This setup works fine in Daytona USA, but Outrun is not recognizing it. While I'm unable to test on original hardware, this game supposedly did support the Logitech wheels (can see videos of it working here and here). I have tried both the North American and European releases of the game. I'm on the latest build as of writing (0.0.34-17411).
