Donating Funds to SSH #162
Comments
Hi there! Sounds interesting, although we haven't really done anything like this in the past, and I'm not really sure of the tax implications. |
Thanks for responding @tarcieri. Tax implications and jurisdictions vary a lot depending on country, state, etc. I would strongly recommend talking to a lawyer or accountant about that. If you have any specific questions, we could ask our lawyers. Does SSH / RustCrypto have a legal entity, what's its status? |
We don't have a legal entity. I can look into what the tax obligations would be. |
@tarcieri there might be a solution with a third party. Once we investigate more, I will share details. |
Looks like we finally closed the loop on this in #297 |
Hi SSH maintainers. I'm Lucas, a core contributor to the radworks project. https://radworks.org/
We've been using https://github.com/RustCrypto/SSH as part of Radicle. It's in fact one of our most critical dependencies!
We really appreciate the work you all do and we want to make sure that you are all well funded to keep doing it. For that reason we have decided to donate some funds to your project through Drips (an initiative that is coming out of our organization for funding FOSS).
Who can I talk to about it?
