Hi!
Just my two cents!
In recent times hamburger menu(side nav ) has been under much scrutiny among designers. Usually, its use is discouraged since it hides information and increases the number of clicks. You might have noticed new app redesigns coming with a bottom nav. Also, the much-celebrated design of iOS always sports a bottom nav for this very reason. Here is a related article
