For this the chosen release uses icarus_data with a late enough version (v09_80_00_01) to have the updated channels status map, so I think all we need is the updated code from Gray in icaruscode (e.g. Cluster3D modifications and a fhicl setting) to use the updated channel map (need to remind myself where this was and add here).
