Clean up the GUI images

Description:
There is currently grunge and other effects applied to the existing GUI images. For some this means not being able to read the information superimposed in these areas. For others, they don't like the grungy/blood effects applied.
Someone suggested adding an option to remove these effects, but I'm not entirely sure that this wouldn't be a bit overkill.
Rather, since we already allow people to create their own formats, we can just clean up the existing images to make them free of the blatant effects such as the blood and grunge (leave some subtle effects of use though) and rely on people being able to add their own formats as a way for them to make the formats the way they want.
