Describe the bug
It is possible to access levels that are locked through the normal selection screen, by going into a level before that is not locked and skipping it.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to a non locked level before a locked level
  2. Click on the red skip arrow
  3. You are now in the locked level
  4. Repeating the process until the last level unlocks everything without completing anything

Expected behavior
Levels that are locked through level selection should be locked to the skip level too. Or don't make any level locked at all.

That's what I initially imagined too. But the skip button is more so to allow Fauna to move on if she feels she's been stuck on a level for too long. Will her pride let her use it? Probably not, but it's there

It doesn't mark the skipped level as complete so the player still has to live with the shame of giving up

If you can skip to a locked level, why not just let all the levels unlocked from the beginning ?

The skip button which allows you to, well, skip puzzles is mirroring functionality from Cats Organized Neatly.
Why all levels aren't available from the start? It's engaging different behavior from players.

  1. Case with all levels unlocked at the start: there is no weight in skipping level, nothing matters and you can just go straight to the finish and go with whatever you want, pick your own order, and so on
  2. Case with levels locked but skipping allowed: gives you a sense of achievement that you are progressing in the game, it plants the idea that it should be done in order. If you are stuck, you always have this last resort and can go to the next puzzle but the feeling of not accomplishing everything and the missing colors in level select menu are there and it prompts you to go back

Attaching screenshot from CON with completed and skipped level. This little icon reminds you about the fact you skipped level and prompts you to go back

Simply to enforce the order for the campaign so the tutorial prompts make sense.

Unless there's more people want to say, I will consider the verdict of this as "no change to current behavior".
