There are some ideas for enhancing callouts in the future:

  • Append 'dead-end' to intersection descriptions where the turning is a dead end.
  • Add better context to intersection callout road descriptions. Instead of "Dunbarton Road to the left", "Dunbarton Road towards St. Paul's church to the left", or if it joins a bigger road "Dunbarton Road towards Sauchiehall Street to the left", or even just "Dunbarton Road heading East to the left". Perhaps the POI ranking could be used to find the highest ranking POI along the road.
