installing with bower

It looks a great calendar. Unfortunately it has been a nightmare to download with Bower. Having spent ages getting everything to almost work there is now an issue with

bower not-cached git://github.com/Serhioromano/bootstrap-calendar.git#*
bower resolve git://github.com/Serhioromano/bootstrap-calendar.git#*
bower ENORESTARGET Tag/branch master does not exist

I have tried this in OSX terminal
git config --global url."https://".insteadOf git://

but
Illegal instruction: 4

Is there a solution to this?
Is there no other way to access this app.? For example a basic download folder would be fine as an option.

works fine for me, and still you have the option here for get the release https://github.com/Serhioromano/bootstrap-calendar/releases/tag/0.2.4
I don't think this is a calendar issue.
