EPIC: User Interaction

As a user I can choose between a light and a dark theme for the shop interface so that I can select the visual mode that is most comfortable for my eyesight and preferences, enhancing my shopping experience.

T-Shirt Size: M

Acceptance Criteria

  • Users can easily switch between light and dark themes from a toggle button from the navigation bar.
  • The theme preference is saved and persists across sessions for logged-in users.
  • All UI components (text, buttons, links, backgrounds) adapt seamlessly to the selected theme.
  • Theme switching is smooth and does not disrupt the user experience.

Tasks

  • Implement theme toggle control accessible from the main navigation bar.
  • Develop and apply CSS styles for both light and dark themes.
  • Ensure theme preferences are stored and retrieved for returning users.
  • Test the theme switching functionality across different pages and devices.
