That sounds like a somewhat huge thing but it shouldn't require too much work. These versions already kinda work after repeatedly trying to open these versions. Eventually the app won't crash but actually launch. And from there on it's like with 1.70. Might just be the server being confused about versions above 1.70 and that's why you have to do some trickery. Anyways, would be great to see this.
