Error when pressing "l" in Explorer Viewlet Search Mode: "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'element')"

Describe the bug
When pressing "l" in the Explorer viewlet while in search mode, the corresponding document does not open, and the following error message appears:
Cannot read properties of null (reading 'element')

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Focus explorer viewlet.
2. Ctrl + Alt + F to search filename.
3. Press "l" to open a document.
4. See error

Expected behavior
The document should open when pressing "l" in search mode without any error.
