Margin for components: what is the preferred solution?

How do you manage CSS margin (e.g. m-4, mx-2, etc.) for components?

• Do you set it in the component style? (but then you have a fixed margin on all pages)
• Do you pass it as a Ruby variable? (but then each component has a margin property)
• Do you wrap a component inside a div just to add some margin? (but then it's verbose...)
