Yubiclip clipboard doesn't get cleared

On Android 9, Samsung S10, if i use NFC (NDEF) with my yubikey, to get a password or otp, despite the message saying the clipboard has been cleared after 20s, it is not cleared . Even after the expiration, the paste function still pastes whatever is there.

If I hit the clipboard option (instead of paste, after holding to paste), i can see the info that was copied through NFC into yubiclip.

How do I make this work as it should?

I can confirm this issue. The clipboard does not get cleared.

I'm running Android 10 on a Pixel XL.
