I have been experiencing some backpressure issues in my publisher. The publisher consists of MDC exclusive publications. I enable ssc in the media driver. I then have an archive process which archives the data using source location local.
I am monitoring with AeronStat and I observe that "short sends" keeps increasing.
Is it expected that short sends would increase if the only subscribers are spies and we are dealing with network publications? Can this eventually lead to the publisher's back pressure issues?

Testing with source location remote ...the short sends doesn't increase. However, back-pressure issue still happens. Can I just confirm that the short sends, in this very case, is just misleading when it comes to my investigation?
