We try to make good use of the space you give your widgets.
Make the widget smaller and it won't expand the items this much.
Also; I don't fully understand what you wrote - it's barely readable English. It would be helpful if you proofread next time.

You can enter edit mode to resize your widget. Reducing the vertical height in the edit mode will result in less wasted space. See https://homarr.dev/docs/getting-started/after-the-installation#entering-edit-mode

You're welcome. Let us know if you have any other questions

Haha u sure? Plenty haha

1 would be nice to resize widgets to I can put 2 next to rechter

2 if, 1 is not possible would be nice to create a tile with a | in it so we can use that as an devider instead

3 would be nice to keep the transparency on the tiles normal but only adjust the transparency of the widgets

4 how can I buy you some beers next month

5 can we put a gif file as and tile image? I'll try dirige that out first, so leave this question hanging

6 new question and improvement ideas will come up for sure

7 like I said before I tried alot homepage Docker containers but I really like homarr the best so far

8 is this made by the same devs of radarr, sonarr, etc? I'm using that for years now

  1. You can resize them freely and it's possible to put two besides each other
  2. Not possible currently
  3. Use custom CSS: https://homarr.dev/docs/advanced/customizations/board-customization#custom-css
  4. Buy beers here: https://opencollective.com/homarr Thanks for the support!
  5. Yes, GIFs should work
  6. I... assume that is not a question but a statement? Just be aware of 📢 Announcing our work on version 1.0 #1993 and our upcoming version 1.0
  7. Thanks. Glad that you like it
  8. No. We are not affiliated with them in any way. See https://homarr.dev/about-us

No, categories cannot be resized or put next to each other. They will scale their height automatically and they will always use 100% of the width. You might want to look into the Homarr sidebars as the categories will only scale between the two sidebars if they are enabled. See docs

thanks your fast responding. i tried the sidebar but because if i had this bug i had to put i t on 80% on my left screen i diceded to not use the sidebar did got this now which kinda worls

You could make a iframe page in the app that has the | in the div center so we can use that as an devider.
MY example is actually an image file i used to test devidingf it but also i NEEDS a https on it to show it online or non so i just used 127.0.0.1 xD

Also one other thing, sry i dont wanne be de anoying use i just wanne make sure homaar will be the absulute best!!
After the 2nd widged, adding another one, or more... thee more seperated like the 1st and second one.
Ayou might wanne call it OCD xD

Your original question has been answered and there is no bug in Homarr in your thread that hasn't been reported yet. Also, we can still talk in closed issues.

the file isnt showing up:

The path seems to be wrong. I cannot say the exact path because you didn't provide any docker compose and screenshots of your file structure.

I recommend remote images instead of the local paths as they will break when upgrading to 1.0. We implemented a file upload in 1.0 which is much more stable than the current solution.

All PNG files in that same forlder are also using /icons, the GUI just doesnt show up the gif files.

Here is the docker compose info"

  homarr:
    container_name: homarr
    image: ghcr.io/ajnart/homarr:latest
    restart: unless-stopped
    volumes:
      - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock # Optional, only if you want docker integration
      - $DOCKERDIR/homarr/configs:/app/data/configs
      - $DOCKERDIR/homarr/icons:/app/public/icons
    ports:
      - 7575:7575
    environment:
      - TZ=$TZ
      - DISABLE_ANALYTICS="true"

Did you remember to restart homarr after adding the icons?
From what I see on my side, it seems that our icon picker does not display the gifs, so you might need to manually type the path for it to work.
/icons/CGSG_server_image_circle_.gif

Yes as mentioned it won't show in the icon picker but it will, if you manually type the file path in, show on the tile.
Just because it doesn't show it there doesn't mean kt won't work.
If I analyzed properly, you should be able to just use the path it typed in.
