This is in order to avoid irrelevant results when the project name is a commonly used phrase, like EFFEKTIV.

Orama search is used now, and it's very effective, except when the project is named EFFEKTIV and EMINENT – since we are so effektiv and eminent…

A possible low-effort solution is require verbatim matches. This would help a lot since the project name is often CAPITALIZED...
