  • not for implementation yet - needs a design plan first
  • this would be just a rest api of the existing Metrics Agent where systems that do not have first-class integration could plug locally to Agent over http.
  • ideally re-using Kafka REST API but only if Schema Registry is optional - for non-jvm apps
