Disable Colors

I use vim frequently as a general purpose pager.

When I run jira issue show <JIRA-KEY> | vim -, the result is:

Am I missing a way to disable color or set --color=auto to let the CLI determine when to show color based on if the output is to a tty or a file?

Thank you for pointing me to that. I was searching for color and didn't come across anything relevant.

This --plain gets me 80-90% of the way there. There is still some color codes that make it through at the end, like:

But, it doesn't get too much in the way and I can always trim the last 4 lines with jira ... | head -n -4 | vim - 😝
