  • v1.1.0 or later
  • Akka team already removed it before Pekko was forked - but we undid that
  • 49ec3aa
  • the S3Stream class had the biggest changes

I think we should have a discussion about this on the mailing list because I realized there may be some additional arguments to keep Scala 2.12 even further (i.e. for sbt plugins such as scalaxb). I can start one later on and maybe we can do a formal vote on it.

@pjfanning Are you happy with me closing this issue? We agreed that at least for 1.0.x we will release for Scala 2.12 and for 1.1.x this question will be revisited. Also all 2.12 issues have been resolved.

can we leave it open and use milestones to track the sequence at which issues will be visited?

If you are implying to set it to the 1.1.x milestone I am happy with that
