Not working for me unfortunately. I am getting multiple (6?) authorization prompts after I switch the adapter to wiiu mode. But alas, when I open any dolphin no gamecube adapter is detected.

Do you get these authorization prompts? Did you ever?

Hi,

I got those authorization prompts just the first time I plugged the device,
Maybe you should lower your security setting and verify that you selected the "Open Anyway" option

My routine for the Mayflash to be detected is as follows
1 Plug the mayflash adapter on PC with doplin NOT open
2 Open doplin and click on the "Controler" option
3 Swith the adapter to WII U
4 Switch the controler to WII U adapter if not already done and press "Configure" to check if its detected or not
5 Should be detected :)

Finally I strongly recommend to plug both USB ports, you will have to manually cut some plastic in the cable, with both controler plugged the accuracy of the controler is improved and the detection of those is far more stable.

Hope I helped you

Thanks for yourresponse @Dymm96 .

However fortunately, I was able to get it all working shortly after I posted my issue.
Here's what I did.

  1. I git cloned this repository.
  2. Ran the install.sh script using terminal sudo ~/Downloads/osx-wiiu-gcc-adapter/install.sh
  3. I went to /Applications/wiiu-gc-adapter/bin and ran wiiu-gcc-adapter-bin in explorer.
  4. Then MacOS popped up those authorization prompts again, and I completed them, then everything started working

Hope this helps someone!

Thank you for this. In case anyone else comes across this, I did the following:

  1. In order to fix this issue, I Rebooted into recovery mode (hold command + R when rebooting) and ran csrutil enable --without kext
  2. Rebooted computer so it booted in regular mode.
  3. I downloaded the release https://github.com/area/osx-wiiu-gcc-adapter/releases/download/v0.2.4/wiiu-gcc-adapter-v0.2.4.dmg
  4. I ran sudo ./install (If this error, pops up ignore it. That's what we fixed in the first step.
  5. I went to /Applications/wiiu-gc-adapter/bin and ran wiiu-gcc-adapter-bin in explorer.

Then I did the following (as shown above)

  1. Plug the mayflash adapter on PC with doplin NOT open
  2. Open doplin and click on the "Controler" option
  3. Swith the adapter to WII U
  4. Switch the controler to WII U adapter if not already done and press "Configure" to check if its detected or not
  5. Should be detected

Has anyone had this work with the official Nintendo GC Adapter? I'm trying to use this to enable the GC controller inside of OpenEmu. I've gotten as far as the authentication prompts, but no controller appears in the OpenEmu preferences.

Update: I have made it to the point where OpenEmu lists the 4 Gamecube ports as available controllers, but testing multiple controllers and all the ports on the WiiU adapter, the only button that is registering is the right analog trigger. Installed Dolphin to test the controller, and everything appears to work and respond there correctly. If anybody has an idea on how to make this work, please let me know. I'm hoping that a fix doesn't have to be made inside of OpenEmu.
