One-click upgrade

As a usability improvement, the upgrade link could automatically download and run the appropriate installer for the OS. A novice user has reported that clicking the link taking them to a list of assets on GitHub is confusing.

Well, the goal is to make them read the changelog as well, but we could show it in the UI too.

The challenge here will be that we have several packaging methods and each upgrade will be platform-specific. Not opposed to the idea in general, but it might take some time to actually implement.
