It would be bodacious to give our Awesome team members a little more love, more information for the community, and some link-juice by creating Trustee and Dean profile pages.

Features:

  • Tenure (how long they've been involved, using the university vernacular we roll with) (Double Awesome: Multi-chapter, multi-role capability for folks who do many Awesome things)
  • Major social media platform links (could be repurposed from chapter icons/links)
  • Website link
  • Contact email
  • A quick bio field
  • A photo (or photos, repurposing grant applicant Airbnb-style photo montage)
  • A few freeform question fields for chapters to customize (For questions such as: What's been your favorite project to fund? Why are you involved in AF? What does Awesome mean to you? etc. Things that help people learn about the board, the benefits, and community)

This would be interesting to explore – making us feel more like a community of trustees and not just a collection of projects. Can we feel out how many chapters and trustees might use it before investing in it?

I hugely support this idea. We hear from applicants that they thought the site was fake because there's so little info about the trustees. I'd also love to have folks be able to list Summits they have attended on it as well. Maybe it's as easy as a freeform question or more involved like a fun badge that can filter to see everyone who attended those Summits.
