Hello,

Current Chime SDK builds do not provide native binaries for running on x86 emulators (only ARM 32/64-bit). It is a bottleneck for some of our developers, since they need to use a native device or an ARM emulator to test a video call.

Is it possible to provide x86-compatible debug builds (debug-only)?

Hi apologies that our team is currently not working on this feature request. Do you mind sharing some more context on why this is crucial to you?
One scenario I can think of is when a user encounters issues that only affect x86 architecture. Before we can provide x86 emulator support, a workaround would be using a virtual device testing service, such as AWS Device Farm.

Yes, I can but it's not for emulators but for hardware. This crucial because of the case of embedded systems or kiosks than are running Android on Intel architecture.

@zhinang-amazon Should I open a new issue for this?

Hi @djensen47, Thanks for the interest in x86 support. I request that you submit a support case in AWS console with details of your use case(s) to provide us with data for the feature request.
