Date parser requires 'of' between date and month #87

It seems as if the date parser cannot parse a string like "Programmed the time entry model for 2nd September" but does succeed with "Programmed the time entry model for 2nd of September". Is it possible to be more flexible with dates and not required the word 'of'?
