Create a long macOS user directory name - Ensure your macOS user directory name is lengthy, e.g., franciszekwojciechowski.
Open the Bitwarden Desktop App - Launch the Bitwarden desktop application and log in to your account.
Attempt to Enable Browser Integration - Navigate to the settings within the Bitwarden app and try to click on “Allow browser integration”.
Encounter the Error - You will see an error preventing you from enabling browser integration. This issue persists even after completely uninstalling and reinstalling the application.
Expected Result
Enable "Unlocking with Biometrics" without an error.
Actual Result
An error in the desktop app “An error has occurred while enabling browser integration".
Screenshots or Videos
No response
Additional Context
Inside the app logs you can find an error
"[2025-01-23 22:25:32.675] [error] Error while starting native message listener Error: Error listening to server - Path: "/Users/franciszekwojciechowski/Library/Group Containers/LTZ2PFU5D6.com.bitwarden.desktop/tmp/app.bitwarden" - Error: path must be shorter than SUN_LEN - Error { kind: InvalidInput, message: "path must be shorter than SUN_LEN" }"
I understand that work is tracked outside of GitHub. A PR will be linked to this issue should one be opened to address it, but Bitwarden doesn't use fields like "assigned", "milestone", or "project" to track progress.
