Does mysql support make sense here for sharing the points across those servers?
This would allow players to gain points while they are doing other stuff on a different server and then come back and use those points to mine valuable minerals.

This would probably useful for the described usecase,
however currently the additional work and trouble of adding database support is currently considered to be not worth it.. So currently there is no plan to add this in the near future.
