dynamic graphic settings / presets

I usually play the game at very high settings to enjoy the looks.
However, on big events like tequatl or Dragonstorm, my frames drop down to an unplayable rate.

Usually setting character model limit and quality to lowest and turning off shadows and reflections will boost my fps back to around 60.

It would be nice to have a simple button or something to quickly select a preset or maybe even a suggestion to switch to a lower preset when the frames go low?

Afaik gw2 stores its settings in a file that could be altered, but idk if there is a way to force the game to re-read the config and applying the new settings.
