Can you add a zoom magnification function like Photoswipe has to the carousel?

Have merged the latest .js source into the old Blueimp Wordpress plugin and works great even with the wpforo forum WP plugin
Attempted to use Photoswipe but, unlike Blueimp, it doesn't properly add externally hosted images such as from imgur to the Lightbox. It does however better Blueimp by offering a magnification tool to zoom into images.
Any chance of extended Blueimp with a zoom function?

and unfortunately I don't think it's a planned feature.
