AV_DEFINITION_FILE_SUFFIXES can i remove 'cld'?

freshclam always downloads '.cvd' files from the clamav database mirror. CLD files are never created through freshclam, can i remove this extension off of AV_DEFINITION_FILE_SUFFIXES?

We have a S3 4xx cloudwatch alarm setup as part of our virus-scanner setup. Everytime a file is being scanned the scanner looks for [main.cld, daily.cld, bytecod.cld] and results in 404 error on the s3 access logs. So the 4xx alarm gets triggered through out the day.

I do not know the impacts of keeping/removing the CLD extension and not much documentation around it either. If someone could explain its significance, I can make a call depending on it.
