The V3–V4 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was amplified from the oral and stool samples using universal primers 341F (5′-CCT ACG GGN GGC WGC AG-3′) and 806RB (5′-GGA CTA CNV GGG TWT CTA AT-3′), whereas ITS1F (5′-CTT GGT CAT TTA GAG GAA GTA A-3′) and ITS2 (5′-GCT GCG TTC ATC GAT GC-3′) were used to amplify the fungal ITS1 region.
