Can Borg copy files from Google Drive to, for example, my local SSD?

I have set up Rclone to copy files from Google Drive to my local SSD. I realize I could run Borg against the files which Rclone copies, but I'd rather not do that. Instead, I would like Borg to copy files from Google Drive to my local SSD.

You can backup any files present in the fs with borg - for a consistent backup just make sure that they don't change while the backup is running.

borg likely will never contain code to deal with downloading source files from proprietary services.

Well, we already have a feature list of what borg supports - and we do not list "download from google drive" support there. I don't think we need a list of filesystem-unrelated things borg does not support.
