INSTALL

This document describes the process followed to create a machine suitable for use with DSSDR.  
PC hardware currently used is as follows:

Dell PowerEdge R220:
 - Disable on-board graphics in BIOS settings

Dell Optiplex 755 Ultra SFF:

NEW PROCESS FOR UBUNTU 15.04
 - MAKE SURE UBUNTU 15.04 IS UP-TO-DATE FIRST BEFORE COMMENCING...
 - mkdir ~/repos
 - mkdir ~/repos/gnuradio
 - download build-gnuradio script
   + cd ~/repos/gnuradio
   + wget http://www.sbrac.org/files/build-gnuradio && chmod a+x ./build-gnuradio && yes | ./build-gnuradio --verbose -ja
     ### NOTE: If there are install issues on 15.04, refer to this page to fix: http://askubuntu.com/questions/176121/dpkg-error-trying-to-overwrite-file-which-is-also-in
   + sudo apt-get install vim
   + add "export PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages" to ~/.bashrc file
 - download and install SDRPortal
   + cd ~/repos
   + git clone https://github.com/bpkempke/SDRPortal.git sdrportal
   + cd sdrportal
   + mkdir build
   + cd build
   + cmake ../
   + make
   + sudo make install
   + cd ~/repos/sdrportal/gr-sdrp
   + mkdir build
   + cd build
   + cmake ../
   + make
   + sudo make install
 - download DSSDRFlow
   + cd ~/repos/
   + git clone https://github.com/bpkempke/DSSDRFlow.git
 - copy B200 image to images directory
   + sudo cp ~/repos/DSSDRFlow/fpga/usrp_b200_dssdr.bin /usr/local/share/uhd/images
 - link in everything
   + sudo ldconfig
 - install custom UHD build
   + cd ~/repos/
   + git clone https://github.com/bpkempke/uhd-dssdr
   + cd uhd-dssdr
   + git checkout dssdr
   + cd host
   + mkdir build
   + cd build
   + cmake ../
   + make
   + sudo make install
