Each patrol would/could create a public facing site that would be accessible at a subdomain of patrol.ski, eg: MtRumpke.Patrol.Ski.
When administrators create announcements & events, they could specify whether they should be internal, public, or both. Items marked public or both would be visible on the public facing site.
Additionally, administrators could compose sections of text/images to display on the public site. "About", "Recruitment", "News January 2021" etc. Not aiming to implement a bunch of wordpress-esque functionality just a minimal public site that could save double entry of announcements/calendar events between a public site and say a facebook group.
Another idea would be a recruitment module which allows prospective candidates to enter contact info for follow up by someone in the patrol. Maybe even go ahead and create/relate accounts for them and add them to the patrol as "recruits" or something.
