Can't get SARIS H3 and QZ to both stay connected #3134

On zwift you have to pair qz or wahoo kickr virtual device from qz, not the
hammer. Are you able to see it?

If you see qz that's OK you can select qz and you are good to go
Wahoo kickr virtual device is the device that qz emits for every trainer in
order to connect by wifi to zwift.
But qz device there is OK too

QZ drops connection as resistance right away and no gears show up. I'll go back into connections, re-select QZ for resistance and go to ride and it drops again. I can only get everything connected if I set up Hammer first, then open QZ app. If QZ app is open, zwift never seems to be able to connect to Hammer so I don't have the option to select anything but QZ |

As I said without zwift play or click you can't see gears on zwift. Zwift
shows it on the UI ONLY with these devices
You have to use the qz UI for the gears
Also why are you selecting the hammer on zwift? You have to select qz for
all the tiles there
On which device runs zwift?

Okay makes sense about gears, understand now and no problem. I was following this video which wanted me to go back and select trainer for cadence and power. Doesn't apply to SARIS? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5s_Df5Jcds I set everything to QZ, go into zwift but my person doesn't move. Go back to connections and it has dropped QZ for all. Reselect QZ but still no movement. I appear to be connected to trainer on QZ app and moving on it but not being sent to Zwift.

Downloaded on tablet but on version 2.16. How do I get the newer version on the tablet? I don't see gear buttons on this version or testflight app

Downloaded and updated the QZ app on tablet. Still not working. Wondering if it has to do with SARIS H3 only having one bluetooth connection? I can connect zwift to trainer if QZ is not open in tablet. If I open QZ first I can connect it to the trainer but it won't show up as an option in zwift. Either way I do it, I can't get QZ to show up as an option to select in zwift. I was able to get qz as an option when using the iphone app for QZ. For tablet, I am leaving qz open in the background and selected android notification option like you suggested.

On zwift on this way you have to see the wahoo kickr virtual device. You
must select this for all the tiles on zwift

Working! All connected and virtual gears working. Selecting wahoo kickr for all them worked. Thank you.
One last question - I don't see the floating window of the QZ app when I am in Zwift. I do have android notification selected in the experimental settings. Is there a trick to getting it to show up? I will likely purchase zwift play or click in their future to make it a bit easier, but hoping to try it out a few more times first.

That's great! Press the top left icon in qz to enable the floating window.
You can customize it in the UI options in qz and also enable : disable the
tiles in the tiles settings

Hello,One more question for you. Everything is working well using the QZ app shift buttons but I have added zwift play into the mix for easier shift changes and I can't get them to work. QZ app detects them. I added them as an accessory. They don't appear to change gears in zwift or QZ app. Do I select them as controllers in zwift or does it work through QZ? I did try the process in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5s_Df5Jcds&t=605s) but I think my set up is different enough (Saris instead of wahoo maybe?) that I can't get that process to work. Any help in how to set it up is appreciated! Thanks,Dan

If you want to use on zwift, the zwift play setting under the accessories
must be disabled and the get gears from zwift setting must be enabled
instead and you have to pair qz on zwift exactly as shown in the video

Okay sounds good. I disabled the zwift play in accessories and made sure get gears is enabled. When I try to connect everything like in the video, the option to connect to my trainer next comes up for power and cadence, only the wahoo/qz connection. Any thoughts or would a log help?Thanks,Dan

I can connect to wahoo kickr for resistance, power, and cadence like normal and all is okay (picture 1). But when I try to add zwift play, it shows up as an option, I select them, but then they disappear and controls appears orange. When I try to disconnect power source and cadance from wahoo kickr, I look for other options and my SARIS (hammer) never shows up as an option to connect to (pictures). Hopefully that helps explain it but if not I could send a little video going through the steps to see where I am going wrong.

You have to connect your phone as resistance enabling the get gears from zwift setting in qz first. Then you can connect the wahoo kickr or the saris in power or cadence Let me know |

Without QZ app open, SARIS H3 (Hammer) connects normally and I can use zwift and my manual gears. When I try to connect to QZ first, then close QZ for power and resistance and connect to Hammer, Hammer doesn't show up as an option. I got it to show up a couple of times, but will also show no connectivity. When I go into zwift, I can peddle but don't have gear options.
Levono M11 tablet for Zwift
Apple iphone mini 12 for QZ
SARIS h3 for trainer
No play or click right now, trying it out with app before buying one of those.
