• Raise an issue on https://github.com/caido/caido if its a bug

Errors:

• You do not have access to this instance
  • Why: You are trying to access an instance that you do not own (ref to Add documentation around instances #32)
    • Caido instances are owned by one Caido Account
  • Likely origins:
    • You used another caido account in the past to connect to the machine on which caido is running
  • Remediations:
    • Login with your original caido account
    • Delete the data folder of caido (ref to https://docs.caido.io/configuration/data_location.html)
    • Run caido with --reset-credentials or in the desktop advanced settings (reset credentials) ONLY ONCE
• I have paid for the pro plan but it still shows Community in the app
  • Why: We have caches in Caido that take some time to update
  • Remediations
    • Wait 1h
    • Logout/Login from your instance
    • Run caido with --reset-cache or in the desktop advanced settings (reset cache) ONLY ONCE

• An unknown authentication error occurred during the login process
  • Usually means that your computer time is out of sync
  • We allow 5m slippage between the "real" time and your computer time
  • Document the process for each platform to resync the time using NTP

• I can't forward some traffic using Caido
  • Possibly a tamper rule modifying requests in a bad way
  • Restart the instance
  • Change project
  • TLS blocked (cloudflare), requires a cookie to avoid bot detection
