Group users by selected tags

In moodle default profile there is an "interests" section where students can enter tags. It would be good if we could build a rule to group students in cohorts based on these tags.

Great idea! I can see this feature being useful.

i was initially thinking by way of demo of dynamic cohorts eg user enters tag, rule set to pick up said tag, in course the cohort enrol set for this tag, but i can also see as generally potentially useful eg group by interests in a course.

Basically once you get users grouped in a cohort you can do other things with them E.g. send them notification using https://moodle.org/plugins/local_sitenotice or anything else.
