During our Sprint 42 Sprint Review, we will present a pared down version of our Q4 roadmap with high level sprint goals.

I reviewed the roadmap for sign and submit with @billhimmelsbach in light of the changes to the activity period/historical data change?

Sign and submit (currently shown on roadmap):

(Note: I updated the roadmap to reflect the actual sign and submit work so what I've listed below is no longer what's on the roadmap mural)

By 12/31/2024 a beta user can:

  • Submit their filing
  • See an on-screen confirmation of a successfully submitted filing
    • With a confirmation code
  • Receive an email confirmation a successfully submitted filing
    • With a confirmation code
  • Confirm voluntary reporter status
    • This one should be added to sign and submit
  • Logic if financial institution identifying information isn't quite right (should this be moved to Q1 2025?)
  • Allow users to review, fix incorrect information, confirm, then sign and submit (should this be moved to Q1 2025?)
  • LEI inactive vs active handling / warnings (sign and submit) (should this be moved to Q1 2025?)
  • Submitting a filing error handling (what kind of error handling for LEI inactive, no Tax ID provided, and any other required stuff(should this be moved to Q1 2025?)

Provide filing details (not shown on roadmap but active work happening)

Note: I don't believe this is reflected on the roadmap

  • Add "Indicate voluntary reporter status" (I added this to the roadmap but it's positioned with sign and submit -- not actually part of that page)
  • Add phone extension
  • Change page from "Provide point of contact" to "Provide filing details"
    • Involves content changes

Changes to View and Update your financial institution profile

Note: I don't believe this is reflected on the roadmap

  • Make RSSD ID not user provided; will always come from NIC (if applicable)

Should the beta release of sign and submit on 12/31/2024 display?

The answers to these questions affect the designs and content that I will work on now.

  • Historical data for confirmation or current data?
  • Should we allow beta users to submit their filing with a lapsed LEI or not?
    • Will we allow filers in the production platform to submit their filing with a lapsed LEI or not?
  • Should we allow beta users to submit their filing with a blank TIN or not?
    • Will we allow filers in the production platform to submit their filing with a blank TIN?

If the answers to all of these questions are "no" then can we determine whether these are Q1 2025 items?

Here's an idea of what we can include for Q4 2024

(I updated the roadmap stickies for sign and submit to reflect this -- and added ticket numbers -- not linked yet)
