Extension JS source map fails to load - chrome Version 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (64-bit)

1. go to Github repository path with readme.md file
2. edit readme.md in place

✔️ Expected result

GitHub Writer is enabled and allows WYSIWYG editing of the file. I have verified that the extension used to work a few months ago and I had used it successfully to edit the same file under the same repository.

❌ Actual result

The extension does not start and the following appears on the developer console:

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for chrome-extension://diilnnhpcdjhhkjcbdljaonhmhapadap/github-writer.js.map: System error: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

I do not have any other ad-blocking or similar extension installed or enabled since the time github-writer used to work.
