Misc:

  • Zerillis drops no loot
  • Gahz'rilla drops loot, in fact, he may have some loot that does not belong to him; a level 11 gray dagger called "Threshadon Fang" - Does this.. Belong to him?
  • 5765d7f Patrols move way too fast. It seems like all the trolls in here are moving at an un-blizzlike pace.

Witch Doctor Zum'rah:

  • She yells in two languages, universal mob and trollish. She should probably be more decisive.
  • If you wipe to her, her adds will not despawn. Is this on purpose?
  • Neither her, nor her chest had any loot. I'm pretty certain one of them should, and I'm even more certain it's the chest

Stairs Event

  • Raven is always one step behind. She does not leave the cages with the others. She leaves when Bly yells to move forward, but she will stop at the top of the stairs, not advancing. She will never leave that spot, even if all trolls die.
  • When they encounter trolls on the way down the stairs and kill them, they will run back up the stairs to their initial positions when bly told them to advance.
  • When all trolls are dead the npcs will not advance in the event. bly will say he's busy fighting trolls, the goblin will just greet you sometimes, other times say he's busy fighting as well. The orc will eventually teleport out, leaving the rest.

There is a mix of causes in this issue.

Misc
All the misc ones are DB issues and can be fixed here (many dungeons have wrong speed rates for NPCs, someone was probably drunk when doing this).

Witch Doctor Zum'rah

  • The language issue depends on what uses the text: DB, SD2 or ACID. But looking at her wiki page, she does indeed uses two languages: http://wow.gamepedia.com/Witch_Doctor_Zum'rah#Quotes
  • the adds not despawning on wipe should not happen, it probably depends on the way they are summoned (by spell or SD2). I remember there may currently be an error in core with summoned from spell: they do not despawn after the summon duration
  • the loot issue is a DB one

Stairs Event

  • Raven not following: I remember doing the event some times ago and she was fine. From what you describe, I'm 99.9% convinced this will be fixed when I backport this commit: cmangos/mangos-wotlk@45591de
  • the group running back: this comes from the way evade() is handled in escorts: the NPCs move back to their previous waypoint when evading. This could be fixed here by increasing the WP density along the stairs (and update the SD2 script accordingly)
  • the event not finishing: I don't know. It finished the last times I did it. I need to investigate this.

We just need to note down the coords they are at as they enter combat, and have them move back to those coords when going out of combat again? - a bit like maximus did the pet stay function.

the event not finishing: I don't know. It finished the last times I did it. I need to investigate this.

I found it hard setting up the right conditions for this; i am not several people so I cannot test this without using gm commands in vanilla, and I may have bugged the event by killing the wrong mobs too quick or something, I did it like 3 or 4 times with semi different approaches and I was not able to finish it once sadly. I can record a few attempts of the event if that'd help? I really wouldn't mind doing that.

That is a bit more complex than that because pet and escortee NPCs do not use the same movement generator, so their behaviour on evade is not the same. This is precisely a point I must discuss with @xfurry because the escortee NPC evade was updated some time ago and a bunch of SD2 scripts need to be updated.

They however do use the same set of coords, right? If we can make the escortee move back to a point, can't we have it move to a temp point? - I am not saying what's possible or how anything should be, just spitballing here.

There was a patrol around the pool in this area when I played post vanilla, I think it is this group of mobs.
I cannot be sure if that group was there + the patrol, or if that group IS the patrol.
Unless ofc someone knows better and they did not patrol in 1.12

I'll try to take care of the summon thing given that it's a core issue. Probably related to the issue that some guardians don't expire like they should.

Just went back into ZF;

You're able to mount up inside Antu'sul's cave.

Witch Doctor Zum'rah now has loot, her chest still has nothing of worth, shouldn't it be the chest holding the valuable loot?
Her adds still don't respawn but they run back out to the graves she called them from, this is intended as far as I can remember (they should at least not stay with her, you should get a chance to clear them all out and have another go at her)

Stairs event bugged out still, but this time I got further, I got all the way to the end, noone bugged out yet, but as soon as I chose the dialogue option from the gossip menu and they all went hostile with me they just stood there doing nothing
the goblin said he was out of there but he just stood still, and after I had engaged in combat and killed the guys from the stairs who were hostile the goblin would no longer speak to me, not being able to advance to the boss 'normally'
