The documentation of the function crossv says for the argument classes.training.set:

the assumed classes are the strings of characters followed by the first underscore.

Correct would be:

the assumed classes are the strings of characters preceding the first underscore.

Same mistake in Imposters function under the argument classes.reference.set (and perhaps elsewhere?)
