I don't know why you haven't released this plugin, if you want to install this plugin ，have to compile it and as far as I know, many people want the plugin to continue to be maintained. So I forked the project and made some changes. If one day you decide to continue the maintenance and release it, feel free to let me know and I can continue pull request.

I simply didn't want to. This was just a proof of concept I spent a few hours on. Your fork, which has compatibility with more recent versions of Obsidian, looks great though!
