Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

In our project it is sometimes necessary to annotate objects that have a "snake-like" shape. Meaning they can have a straight and curved shape with a consistant thickness. Using the brush tool can be difficult and often results in a lot of corrections, erasions and retries. The polyline tool is not sufficient as its draws narrow lines rather than a thicker area.

I found issue 6534 to be a similar request. However this refers to issue 2553 as a duplciate, which does not solve my problem.

Describe the solution you'd like

A new annotation tool with the line control of the polyline tool (drawing lines as connected points and allowing editing the points afterwards) and an option to set the thickness of the line, therefore marking an area like a tube around a line rather than a simple line. This might as well be an optional attribute to the existing polyline tool.
