It's been requested to show film strip style keyframe previews during scrub, similar to the popular youtube feature.

It allows multiple nearby frames to be displayed and can be useful for situational awareness. Similar to youtube a gesture like "drag up" could be used to hide it for people who are visually perturbed by it.
