Hi,

I'm trying to run GodMode9 on a 3DS XL but I have un unexpected problem: the up key is permanently active.

I tried checking on the home screen of the Nintendo 3DS, but there was no problem there with the up key, so I believe it's a GodMode9 problem.

I would need to use it because I have to execute the "finalize" script, but to unlock the SD Card I have to insert a combination of keys and with this problems it's impossible.

I read that I can do a workaround changing the key settings editing the common/hid_map.h and then compiling it with the "make firm" command, but many errors occur and so I would like to ask: can someone compile the last GodMode9 firm editing that file (for example exchanging up and SELECT keys binding) and send it to me?

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Luca

well, it's not godmode9 problem, but your hardware problem, which you should fix your circle pad
or yeah, build one that doesn't accept circle pad input

I thought it could be my hardware problem too, but the circle pad works great both in the normal menu and in every game I tried.

However the problem is that I cannot build it. Can you please help me maybe giving me a built version with that edit?

Thanks in advance,
Luca

There's also a possibility that your circle pad is slightly broken -- enough to be fine in the main menu and such but not in GM9.

You can adjust the threshold for a cpad input to be considered valid here, please try increasing it, rebuild and see if that fixes the problem?
