Custom palette

The simple implementation is a prelude setting so you give a list of 21 colours in the same order as https://puzzlescriptnext.polyomino.com/Documentation/objects.html, and they become 'the' palette. Other ways might be easier to use but harder to define and implement.

I was thinking of something like this too of having a central palette with the confounding calendar requirement.
