LEQ

Best aspect of the course

  • You can do it in your own pace.
  • Introduction to LaTeX (used in other courses)
  • Recorded videos
  • Low bar in the beginning
  • Good intro to GitHub
  • Learning bash/terminal (used in other courses)
  • Flexibility for doing the assignments
  • Short and contained relevant info
  • Lot's of relevant skills
  • Worked well digitally

Suggestions for improvement

Advice for future students

  • Do the assignments, they're useful and not particularly difficult, good for future courses.
  • Learn Git properly!
  • Save the course for a year when you need the HP to get CSN the next semester :-P
  • Do the assignments while there still is tutoring!
  • Don't stress to finish the course, you can finish it later. So don't lag behind in the other courses.
  • Put a bit more effort on learning LaTeX, you will want to know it later anyway!
  • Help each other. Google if stuck. Follow the instructions exactly so that the grading bot finds your work.
  • Learn from the information offered, you might have use of it in future courses.
  • Keep up with the course, don't ignore it!
  • Do the course immediately, don't postpone it!
  • If you're going to use KTH computers, take the course!
  • Do everything immediately and spend the time to understand the contents, it will help you a lot in the future!

Specific questions

How did you experience the interactive study material?

  • Super great!! More should use this.
  • What?
  • Didn't use.
  • Cumbersome. Hard to use, it felt messy and unclear where the info could be found.
  • It was good, but didn't use it much.
  • Never asked any question myself, but it was good that others' questions showed up, that answered some of my questions.
  • Informative! But some things didn't work.
  • OK
  • It was good.
  • There were questions, but didn't use it particularly much.
  • Good to be able to ask questions in the video, makes it easier to show exactly what you're asking about.
  • Didn't use it myself, but others' comments/questions and answers helped.
  • That was good, one realized quite quickly if one followed or not.
  • Never used, but I like the idea. I checked others' questions and those helped.
  • It seemed like it was not used much.
  • Good.

How would you suggest to develop the interactive study material?

  • No idea.
  • Have everything live on campus.
  • Have lectures/recorded videos more in sync with each other.
  • Use different operating systems. Became more work for some to find the commands since they were not in the video.
  • Have a collected Q&A field for quick searching.
