The scraper normalizes ESPN shot charts such that all shots are labeled relative to a single rim (i.e. shots from different teams are listed on the same half of the court). As seen above, it seems like the opposite side of the court has a distinct pattern around the basket and three point line that you would not expect to see from full-court shots. This is likely caused by some inconsistency in how ESPN labeled a small number of games.
