CRT Script Very Laggy On Windows #22

Any ideas why the CRT script would be ultra laggy in Obsidian? It's something to do with the CRT flicker, when I uncomment that line, my entire Obsidian grinds to a crawl. But if I leave that commented out, everything else works fine. Any ideas what might cause it to be so laggy?
